Profile 2006
The
Science of Aliens Exhibition
The temporary exhibition,
which examines the possibility of Life on other worlds, opened at the
Science Museum in October 2005 for four months, until February 2006,
and following display at Thinktank Birmingham, will go on international
tour.
Dyson’s undertook the £750K fabrication and fit-out
of the exhibition and due to its temporary nature it was essential manufactured
items were designed to be easily and safely demountable. Works included
a high level gantry housing electrical lighting and drapes, used for
zoning the exhibition areas, bespoke mdf structures, electrics and graphic
panels..
Bradford
& Bingley Refresh Programme
Bradford & Bingley
Refresh ProgrammeThe ability and advantages of being able to provide
a single point service in terms of joinery, electrical and decoration
facilities were a major influence in Dysons being awarded a £250K
contract to refurbish 22 branches within the South West, Scotland and
Northern Ireland regions.

Work
was carried out over a 12 week contract period being undertaken ‘out
of hours’ to minimise disruption to clients and staff.
Typical scope of works involved the replacement of ceiling tiles
and relamping,
new floor finishes, relocation of counter-desking arrangements
and redecoration within the Banking Hall, Interview Room and
Staff areas.
SS
Great Britain, Bristol
We are particularly
delighted to have been involved in a significant part of the continuing
restoration and refurbishment of the ss Great Britain, the winner of
the prestigious Gulbenkian Prize for Museum of the Year 2006.
Working
to the brief of David McCabe Design, Dysons completed a £700K refurbishment
of the promenade deck including doctors quarters, galley and steerage
accommodation replicated as near as possible to their original specification.
We also undertook the exhibition fit-out of the adjacent Jeffries Museum
building completing a contract which was both challenging and fascinating
in its content. |
