The purpose built centre provides a new exciting dynamic environment consistent with the institutes focus on both multidisciplinary research and learning. The open plan design encourages close collaboration between research staff and students, being based on a central interaction area leading off to glass walled offices, seminar rooms and an open plan research area.

Dysons, acting as main contractor, undertook the manufacture of all bespoke joinery including feature low level walls. Incorporated into the works were ceilings, flooring, general decoration, air-conditioning and specialist lighting, plasma screens and glazed office walls with integral blind systems.
