Burslem’s
splendid Victorian Old Town Hall provides the setting for this journey
through the
past, present and future of the Potteries.
Ceramica,
a celebration of the ceramics industry, features a childrens space, Bizarreland
and dramatic presentations of the town, the industry and its people.
Designed by rfa designers, Dyson's skill and ingenuity was called upon
to replicate a mirrored kiln, a section of a lunar landscape and the
ultimate challenge of a
clay
carrying
barge
complete
with
tunnel
and crane.
With
a fit-out
value of over one million pounds, the museum proudly opened in April
2003 and is providing a major attraction in the heartland of one
of Britains industrial areas.
